The Eta Alpha chapter was originally chartered in 1948, but it went inactive in 1954. In 2016, our founding fathers, Elise Dang, Harrison Wright, Jake Kawasaki, Steven Yoshimoto, and Harrison Yee, felt that there weren’t enough opportunities to foster new relationships while performing service to the community at Santa Clara University, so they reached out to the national office and their peers to complete the rechartering process with a founding class of 16 brothers. Through the process, we were able to open up opportunities to all students at SCU to meet more of their peers, develop leadership skills, and work with communities at the local and national level. Since our rechartering in May 2018, Eta Alpha completed hundreds of service projects, taught students about different life skills, and brought together students with bright hearts and bright minds, with the goals of leaving their mark at Santa Clara University.
